Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark's rookie season has been emotional, she went from being one of the most fouled players on the league to earning the respect from her peers through hard work and dedication. Today, she is being considered to win the 'Rookie of the Year' award but she is taking a well-deserved holiday after not making the cut for Team USA's Olympic Basketball Women's Team. Clark not making the cut meant that she has finally been able to take a vacation after a year of non-stop hard work. Her most exciting game thus far was on July 20, when she broke the record for the most assists delivered in a game for a rookie with 19. As a reward for her accomplishments, Clark decided to take a trip to Cabo San Lucas with her boyfriend Connor McCaffery.

Caitlin and Connor weren't alone, they were accompannied by fellow Fever guard Lexie Hull and her boyfriend Will Matthiessen. They were also accompannied by Fever forward Katie Lou Samuelson, her husband Devin Cannady and the couple's daughter Aliya. Right after getting back from the trip, McCaffery posted an image wherehe is enjoying his time off with Clark during this escapade. Caitlin Clark's boyfriend just finished his first year as an assistant for the Indiana Pacers. Although Caitlin Clark was probably not happy with getting snubbed for the Summer Olympics, shewas also really happy for getting this much needed break in order to come back stroner than ever to keep kicking butt.

During the month of July, Caitlin Clark found her best level of performance as she also became the first rookie in WNBA history to get a triple-double. Caitlin Clark entered the Olympic break averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, a league leading 8.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. The next game for the Indiana Fever will be against thePhoenix Mercury on August 16. Think about one thing for a second though. If Caitlin Clark was already delivering those stats without any vacations for over a year, what will she be able to do completely rested and recharged?
