When asked about Martin's start in the WNBA, Clark praised her friend, saying, "What everybody else sees in her, that's what I've seen in her for a really long time. And I'm just really happy for her."

She then added, "And obviously I wish she was still my teammate."

Clark has also been nominated for three ESPY Awards: Best Athlete in Women's Sports, Best Record-Breaking Performance, and Best College Athlete in Women's Sports.

The ESPY Awards, hosted by tennis legend Serena Williams, will air live on ABC, with fan voting open until July 11.
