- WNBA. Angel Reese 'provokes' Caitlin Clark with new Reebok Joker trainers
- WNBA. Former WNBA first-pick places Caitlin Clark above A'ja Wilson as the face of the league
On Sunday, the rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark captured the attention of the world, but it started before the two WNBA rookies even took the court as they showed off dueling pregame outfits.
Angel Reese takes risk with pregame outfit
While Clark showed up wearing Prada, Reese stepped up her fashion game with a risky set of high heels. Clark was wearing a denim jacket, top, and jeans, while the Chi Town Barbie took all hearts with her pink diva looks in heels.
The WNBA staffer recording the video asked, "How are the heels feeling today?" to which Reese chuckled and replied, "They feel great." The 6-foot-3 Reese has understandably had trouble walking in heels before, notably at the 2024 Met Gala.
The WNBA's social post on X, formerly Twitter, also took note of Reese's interaction with the paparazzi with new heels. The channel captioned it as "Lesson learned... new heels, still a baddie."

"Now those are heels!," one fan wrote under Clark's fit pic, throwing some pregame shade at Reese before the game even got started.
Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky rivalry heats up
Last time they played, the Indiana Fever defeated the Chicago Sky by a close margin of 71-70. It was overshadowed by a Chennedy Carter - Caitlin Clark controversy that shook the teams for quite a few days.
Reese's teammate Carter pushed Clark to the ground as Reese clapped from the bench and ed the dirty play by her teammate. Carter further worsened the situation by tweeting a lot against Clark and also using Threads as a platform to oppose Clark and belittle her playing skills.
Clearly, the matchup of the former LSU and Iowa foes has carried on in their WNBA careers, and the constant one-upping begins the moment they walk in the arena.
