Angel Reese has the third nickname of her basketball career as the 22-year-old Chicago Sky star becomes affectionately dubbed '305 Barbie' ahead of her eagerly-anticipated debut in Napheesa Collier's Unrivaled League.

The forward was previously called 'Bayou Barbie' at the LSU Tigers in college basketball and then became known as 'Chi Barbie' when she landed in Windy City to make her WNBA debut after being drafted seventh overall.

The youngster drew the barbie reference in the NCAA because of her reputation for wearing make-up before competing and the moniker seems to have stuck after her Rose BC team crowned her the latest title of 305 Barbie.

"305 BARBIE LOCKED IN @angelreese," Rose BC posted to Instagram, referring to Maimi's area code along with a video of the 6ft 3in pro working out with her teammates ahead of debuting in the three-by-three league.

The Unrivaled League, also founded by Breanna Stewart, will begin on January 17 and will be broadcast by TNT Sports and truTV. The playoffs will then begin on March 16 before the final game of the year concludes on Monday, March 17.

Reese and her Rose BC team will be against five other teams. The 22-year-old will partner up with Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper and Lexie Hull, and will kick-off their campaign against the Vinyl BC team, which includes Arike Ogunbowale and Aliyah Boston.

Who do the Chicago Sky play next?

Upon completing the Unrivaled League, Reese's attention will turn sharply to the 2025 WNBA season with the Sky as they look to improve on a disappointing .325 year last time out, with the ex-NCAA champion missing the dying embers due to injury.

They will kick-off their season on May 17 against Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever. Tickets are still available for the game at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse through VividSeats and are priced from $81.

The WNBA welcomes a 13th team into the league in 2024 as the Golden State Valkyries . The team will be based in San Francisco and will play games at the Chase Center, the same location as Steph Curry's Golden State Warriors in the NBA.
