Angel Reese's recent conduct on the basketball court has prompted former NBA player Bonzi Wells to intervene and send her a warning about her behavior.

The increased physicality in the WNBA has been a hot topic of discussion of late after Chennedy Carter's controversial foul on Caitlin Clark in the Chicago Sky's recent defeat to Indiana Fever.

Carter hip-checked rookie Clark in an off-the-ball incident and it was later upgraded to a Flagrant-1 foul. Reese's reaction was telling, however, as she stood up and applauded her team-mate's challenge.

Notably, Reese was fined $1,000 after she skipped the post-game press conference following their 71-70 narrow loss at the hands of the Fever.

Prior to that, Reese had also waived her arm at the WNBA referee when a personal foul was called against her during her game against the New York Liberty. This resulted in a double technical foul and added to Reese's woes since she had to be ejected from the game.

The 22-year-old has also garnered some unwanted attention for her public war of words with Clark, also 22, over her perceived popularity in the game.

And Wells has spoken out with a clear warning to Reese about her behavior, explaining how she could face further problems down the line if she doesn't clean up her act.

Rasheed Wallace 'epidemic'

The Georgia Tech assistant coach, appearing on the Sheed & Tyler podcast, believes Reese could fall victim to the Rasheed Wallace "epidemic".

"She got to just learn from this situation. Hope it don't become a Rasheed Wallace type epidemic for her," Wells said. "It's an epidemic when Rasheed get to go on it becomes like... cause controllable and then it spreads like... but then it spreads."

In the context of Wallace, he is the most-fined player in the NBA after racking up an eye-watering $205,000 from eight fines against his record - and Wells is clearly concerned she could follow a similar trajectory.

Reese's punishment may be minuscule in comparison, but the ratio of wages-to-fine are arguably higher.
