Phoenix Suns' Kevin Durant is one of the most prolific players for Team USA during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He was just an essential part of the team that completely pummelled the Brazil national team in the Olympic Men's Basketball Quarterfinals. One of the big news of the game was that LeBron James suffered an injury that got eveybody worried. But there were many good news as well, one of them is Kevin Durant making history as a Team USA player. He brokee a record that was held by Lisa Leslie. In of USA Basketball players, Kevin Durant placed his name at the very top of both the men and women's categories. Leslie held the record of 488 career Olympic points and Durant sured that number against Brazil.

Even the former player congratulated Durant for the achievement, she stated she feels honored that it was Kevin Durant the one who broke her record. Other basketball greats like Magic Johnson and Trae Young congratulated Durant. Even MLB legend Derek Jeter took some time to write a congratulatory message for Durant. One would think KD would write up some ionate speech on social media but he decided to highlight the incredible team that he is representing instead. Granted, he did mention Lisa Leslie and the record but he reitirated that the main goal is to win Olympic Gold. There is still no rival for Team USA in the semifinals, we will know by Thursday.
