Paul George took a break from what has been one of the worst seasons of his career to enjoy a lavish vacation with his wife, Daniela Rajic, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. While the couple basked in the sun, Philadelphia 76ers fans were anything but thrilled.

The veteran forward, who is averaging his lowest points per game since 2011-12, posted steamy pictures of himself and Rajic on the beach. However, with the 76ers struggling at 20-34 and sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, many fans felt the timing of his trip was completely tone-deaf.

Fans lash out as 76ers' nightmare season continues

George, who signed a massive four-year, $212 million contract with Philadelphia, has missed 19 games this season and is averaging just 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. His underwhelming performances have been a major disappointment, especially after the team entered the season with championship aspirations.

Frustration boiled over after Philadelphia's embarrassing 100-96 loss to the Brooklyn Nets just before the All-Star break. George played 37 minutes but scored only two points, shooting a miserable 1-for-7 from the field and 0-for-5 from three-point range.

Fans didn't hold back on social media. One on X wrote, "Paul George dropped 2 points before the All-Star break, and now he's on vacation. The 76ers got fleeced. They handed this man 211 million dollars lol." Another added, "The 76ers just paid Paul George a max to have them at 20-34, and Cooper Flagg isn't coming to save them."

Is Philadelphia's future in trouble?

The 76ers' "win-now" approach has backfired, especially with Joel Embiid playing just 17 games this season due to injuries, despite g a $193 million extension. Making matters worse, Philadelphia's 2025 first-round draft pick is top-six protected-if it lands at No. 7 or higher, it will go to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

While the team's struggles continue, George seems unfazed, enjoying a tropical escape with Rajic, whom he married in 2022. The couple has three children: Olivia, Natasha, and Paul Vuk.

As the second half of the season looms, 76ers fans are left wondering whether their star forward will return from paradise ready to deliver-or if this season is already beyond saving.
