In the second game of the playoff series against the Celtics, Knicks center Mitchell Robinson executed one of the worst free throws ever seen in NBA history. The ball fell so short and so far from the rim that it barely touched the net.

One of the worst free throws in NBA history

Robinson is a terrible free throw shooter. Throughout his career he has a 52.2% percentage and in four of his NBA seasons he did not reach 50%. This season, however, he has experienced a remarkable improvement, although he has not gone too much to the free throw line in the 17 games he has played: his 13/19 yields a somewhat more decent 68.4% success rate, which is the best record of his career.

The Celtics, aware of the center's poor shooting from the 4.60, abused the hack-a-Robinson in the first game, just as opponents did with Shaquille O'Neal, another horrible free throw shooter. The Knicks center went 3/10 in the series opener, although his team ended up winning in Boston.

In the second game, the Celtics no longer sent him to the line so many times and he only took one free throw, which did not even touch the rim. Robinson's shooting percentage in the 25 playoff games he has played in his career is a horrific 34.3%
