The New York Knicks (36-27) defeated the Boston Celtics (44-18) Monday at Madison Square Garden to remain undefeated since Josh Hart ed the team to play alongside former Villanova teammate Jalen Brunson.
Brunson, 26, finished the contest with 17 points, four rebounds and three assists in 40 minutes of action.
Hart, 27, continues to settle into his role, scoring 12 points in 27 minutes off the bench to go with a handful of boards and dimes.
New York is now riding a six-game winning streak, enough to earn the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Julius Randle and Immanuel Quickley were the highest scorers for the Knicks with 23 points apiece, while RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson each added 10.
Jayson Tatum cold from deep
Boston was coming off an incredible win over the Philadelphia 76ers, but were stagnant against New York.
Jayson Tatum went cold from beyond the arc, scoring just one of his nine attempts from deep.
He finished the night with just 14 points, seven rebounds and nine assists in 37 minutes.
Malcolm Brogdon was the leading scorer for the Celtics with 22 points off the bench.
