No one could have possibly seen a Luka Doncic trade coming before this season began. And no one could have imagined it would have landed him on the Los Angeles Lakers, for a price that many considered to be an epic steal. But that's what happened, and the Lakers have benefited greatly. The Lakers are 43-28 and sit in 5th place in a stacked Western Conference.
Doncic hasn't wasted any time adapting to LeBron James, and Los Angeles knows they have the future of the franchise already on the roster for once James leaves. No one knows when that will happen, but for the time being, James and Doncic are having the time of their lives. Before their road game against the Indiana Pacers, James was filmed vibing to the arena music. Doncic himself got jiggy with it after hitting a halfcourt shot.
This comes just a couple of days after Chris Broussard called Doncic "an all-time elite ball hog", which could lead to some friction with James since LeBron is so ball-dominant.
The Lakers lost three straight heading into their game against Indiana, but Doncic has had a positive effect on the team and has really started to shine in recent weeks.
