Caitlin Clark seems to have really hit her stride in the WNBA and was instrumental in the Indiana Fever beating the Chicago Sky 100-81 on Friday night.

Clark's performances since the league reconvened following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have massively stepped up the campaign for her to win the Rookie of the Year Award, with Angel Reese originally expected to be among the contenders.

One man who has been in Clark's corner ever since she signed for the Fever is LeBron James, and he is lapping it up now that she is putting in the sort of performances that he always knew she had in her locker.

He took to X in the wake of her performance against the Sky and said: "CAITLIN CLARK!!!!! HI HATERS."

LeBron backs Clark

LeBron has backed Clark before, and he did so back in May while on an episode of the Mind the Game Podcast with JJ Redick.

"The one thing that I love that she's bringing to her sport, more people want to watch," James said.

"More people want to tune in. Don't get it twisted, don't get it f****d up, Caitlin Clark is the reason why a lot of great things are going to happen to the WNBA. But for her individually, I don't think she should get involved."

James knows the feeling that Clark had to go through as he arrived in the NBA with a huge spotlight on him and there was immense pressure to perform immediately.

"I'm rooting for Caitlin because I've been in that seat before," James said. "I've walked that road before. I hope she kills. I hope Aliyah Boston does amazing. I hope they do great."
