- Klay Thompson is still yet to decide on his future
- Rick Ross hits out against Bronny James haters following Lakers draft pick
This is definitely a soap opera for this NBA offseason. The relationship between the Golden State Warriors and Klay Thompson appears to have come to an end, as both parties are far apart in negotiations and the player has three organizations after his services.
Many believe that he would be a good fit with the Los Angeles Clippers or the Dallas Mavericks, interestingly enough, reports indicate the player himself believes he would be a great fit with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Of all the options that the historic three-point shooter handles, the Lakers' option is the one that intrigues him the most, since sharing the court with LeBron James is an incentive for him, especially if he puts together a competitive project that fights for the NBA championship.
Klay Thompson is still uncertain about his future but he does like the purple and gold
Thompson will meet with the top front office people of the three aforementioned franchises in the coming weeks, but LeBron's intention to lower his salary so that the Lakers sign a star like him is a plus in free agency conversations.
The Warriors will seek to cover other shortcomings in their squad and Thompson's numbers in 2023-24 were not convincing for them. He averaged 17.9 points per game, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 43.2% in field goals, 38.7% in triples and 92.7% in free throws.
Starting on July 1 things will get very interesting in the league with many players available and a bunch of teams looking to boost up their rosters up to become real contenders, like surprisingly the Lakers are.
