Lakers get a suggestion to sign a 2020 championship star to help their dire situation

There is no way to put this lightly, Los Angeles Lakers are at the bottom of the Western Conference's playoff race with a 15-14 record at the moment. After 29 games, it's become clear that they need to get players who can help them get out of this situation. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are simply not enough to play against the other impressive Western teams. What the Lakers lack at the moment is better shooters than the ones they currently have. Unfortunately, what D'Angelo Russell has done this season is simply not enough for the team to some out victorious from games against teams that have some of the best shooters in the league.

A proposed deal for the Lakers is a 2020 Champion

Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley wrote an opinion piece about the possible next target for the Lakers. He is convinced that Danny Green could be the one that can help his former teammates improve on their sharp shooting. Here is what Buckley wrote: "Green could help fill the Lakers' shooting void. He's done that before. The veteran swingman was a rotation regular for the 2019-20 title team, ranking second on that squad with 120 triples. His defense has eroded with age-he turned 36 in June-but his three-ball is as fiery as ever (43.2 percent in limited action last season). He also has enough veteran know-how to find his fit on the fly."

Currently, Danny Green is a free agent after being waived by the Philadelphia 76ers on November 1. He is already a seasoned veteran at 36 years old but could potentially be a quick fix for the Lakers problems this season. In of the player the team is actively trying to trade for, we are talking about Zach LaVine. The Chicago Bulls star has been trying to leave his current team for a few months now and the Lakers are one of the strongest options for him. Green would be a decent option but LaVine is the best potential option for the Purple & Gold at the moment.
